123. checkers, groves, whole oaks move

eagerly, a fast, a physik,

mostly mud, at least phillip,

when they set upon republic,

he was charged with all the relics

mud is what? a flux or floating,

from without, it’s firm, immobile,

but, within, great complexes,

moving, mush fluid dynamics

phillip for, was of a species,

peat and potash, moss and needles,

on the top it makes a mat

which ensures the rest stays wet

it’s a loose association —

all the mud throughout the basin

form a sort of mucky nation

bordered on high sloping mesas

phillip had, for all his faibles,

held inside some healing powers,

for this reason was entrusted

with the mud’s most precious junk

mud collects, right down the ages,

bits and pieces, bones and vases,

gold and silver, jewels, and

even boats, whole roman camps

phillip, then, in this deposit,

carried coins, a broach, a helmet,

a few assorted, well, what’s-its,

too degraded to tell their purpose

and, important, the remains

of the last great king of danes,

held in sludge, suspended, so

one day he’d re-claim his realm

the nation of the mud is not

encouraged to treasure give up,

which is why they held so dear,

eric, fast, a thousand years
